A small summary
Summer 2014, four friends, one country, valleys, forgotten christians : one project ! |
In 2014, we prepared an expedition to the foothills of the Himalayas, in Yunnan Province, in order to meet the forgotten Christians of Tibet. Evangelised by priests of the Society of Foreign Missions of Paris (MEP) at the beginning of the 20th century, these people live deep in the valleys of the Salween and Mekong rivers. Thanks to the generous donations collected in France, we were able to help them rebuild the church in the village of Dimaluo, and to build a chapel in the high pastures at an altitude of over 4,000 metres (the blue-roofed building in the photograph below). We all found this first adventure so rewarding and so inspiring that we decided we would accomplish a second mission together, farther afield and for longer. |
